Super Sonic in essence is the Super Saiyan version of Sonic. In Sonic Origins, you can actually get the Super Sonic transformation for Sonic The Hedgehog 1 and Sonic The Hedgehog 2 by completing certain things.
You can get Super Sonic easily in Sonic The Hedgehog 2. However, Super Sonic in Sonic The Hedgehog 1 can only be obtained using a cheat code. This is because it’s not legitimately available to get from normal play.

To unlock Super Sonic in Sonic The Hedgehog 1, you first need to unlock the Level Select Menu. This contains the Sound Test and will enable you to get all Chaos Emeralds.
Here’s a detailed guide on how to get them:
- In the menu/title screen enter: Up, Down, Left, Right (a jingle will appear if put correctly)
- Press Start to enter the Level Select Menu
- There, play sounds 04, 01, 02, 06 and make sure Max Emeralds number is set to 7 (chaos emerald jingle will appear)
- To activate the Super Sonic form, collect 50 rings, jump in the air and press Triangle (Playstation)/ Y (XBOX)/ X (Nintendo Switch)
