Monster Hunter Sunbreak is finally here! It brought with it a lot of new maps, new monsters, and very cool-looking new armor sets that are simply amazing. To be able to craft these armors you’ll need materials. So, today we will be talking about Hornetaur Materials and how to farm them.

How To Farm Hornetaur Materials FAST – Monster Hunter Sunbreak

Hornetaur Materials are one of the most expensive materials that comes with Sunbreak (the new DLC). Players have gone and developed strategies on how to best farm them.

They are small monsters that a big chunk of the player base has had a problem finding. As they are extremely rare and very difficult to spot, they might even blend in with their background at times.

Also, they only appear in the 2 new areas:

  • In the Jungle
  • In the Citadel

You will encounter them at some point during your early progression in Master Rank 1. This means that this guide can be started very early and very close to the start of this DLC.

You will find a Master Rank 1 in the Quest Counter (the little girl at the beginning). The name of this quest will be Buggin Out!

This quest will send you to the Jungle to slay a total of 20 Vespoid, Hornetaur, Altaroth, Fanatic, Gargwa, Bullfango, and Ludroth enemies. So, the key is taking this quest.

While having this quest as an active one, the mobs that you’ll be needing to track and slay will be spawning almost everywhere. This way, you’ll get your Hornetaurs spawning much more than usual and simply everywhere to be seen. Even in some locations that aren’t their usual spawn locations!

The beauty of this all is that the Hornetaurs will show up on the map as red dots. So just open the map, and go running into the red dots to farm yourself some very easy Hornetaur Material.

Be wary though, these dots can sometimes show some other monsters from the quest, so it isn’t going to be always Hornetaurs here. Just keep that in mind.

You can run around and just keep looking for the Hornetaurs. Once you take down a Hornetaur spawn you can simply make a turnaround on the map, and come back to the same locations. Hornetaurs might spawn again in these spawnable red dots. So basically you’ll be having an awesome and amazing extremely fast Hornetaur Material farm.

You can farm as many as you need when it comes to the Hornetaur right now. Congratulations on having an almost unlimited supply on Hornetaur now. Have fun crafting!
