Across the Obelisk is a type of game where you’ll need to progress you and your characters in order to be able to defeat higher-level enemies. To do this, there is a unique set of items which are called the Corrupted Items. Let’s talk about them and get you all the information you need.
Corrupted Items Guide | Everything You Need To Know – Across The Obelisk
Corrupted Items are unique items that are very rare in the game. You won’t see them in Madness Zero but in Madness 1 and onwards you’ll start seeing them more. Also, if you have Obelisk Mode and weekly you’ll see them more too.
One big thing about them is that Corrupted Items will not appear in regular town shops. You can find them in Corruption Shops, Shops on the map nodes, and even the traveler’s caravan.
Corrupted Items are souped-up items from their regular counterparts. For example, if you go to a normal item you’ll see only one buff on it. If you go to the Corrupted Version you’ll see that it is much stronger with stronger buffs.
There are some extremely rare cards that are very different than their Corrupted counterpart. Sometimes getting the Corrupted Version is 3 times stronger than the usual one. They are high quality and needed items for literally everyone.
What is the Drop Chance on the Corrupted Items
This is how the Items work:
- They start to appear in Madness 1. Items have a 3% chance and +0.3% per each madness level. In Obelisk there’s 3+2% at 4 and 3% at 8+
- Corrupted Shops rare give a 5%+ drop chance of Corrupted Items
- Corrupted Shops exotic give a +10%
Exotic Shop
When you click this outlined square in any raid, every item of this shop will have a 13% chance of getting corruption. This makes exotic equipment shops and weeklies extremely valuable for Corruption Rewards.
How To Play With Corrupted Items Without Making The Game More Difficult
Go to the Adventure Menu when starting a game. Then here you will want to press on the Madness menu and button on the very bottom. This is how you can start a new game.
Here just click and activate the Impending Doom. This way the game challenge will not increase while getting the Items to be spawning in your game.
Even if you want you can turn on the Decadence too, but you can only do it with the first one and it will work.
That is it! We hope that this guide was of some help and cleared out everything you wanted to know about the Items. A big thank you to Corydonn from YouTube. Be sure to check him out here for more detail and information.
