Honkai: Star Rail is full of missions, activities, and challenges where you can grind for rewards to level up your characters, equipment, and account. The Bud of Memories is an Adventure Mission that you can grind out and stock up on those experience points. Be wary though, as this mission is not a cakewalk. This guide will help you be prepared before taking on this challenge.
Bud of Memories Guide
Calyx (Golden): Bud of Memories unlocks as soon as you start the Trailblaze Mission: In the Withering Wintry Night and have reached Trailblaze level 7. You will need at least 10 Trailblaze Power to start this challenge.
Enemies you will encounter:
- Frostspawn – weak to Fire and Wind
- Flamespawn – weak to Physical and Ice
Rewards you may obtain:
- Trailblaze EXP – used to level up your Trailblaze Power
- Travel Encounters – provides 1000 Character EXP
- Adventure Log – provides 5000 Character EXP
- Credit – used as in-game currency
This mission can be located at the Outlying Snow Plains in Jarilo-VI. It’s very near where you begin your mission upon arriving on the planet. You can also make your way back to it by navigating your map and using the teleport option.
You will come across a strange flower bud where you can interact and begin the challenge.
Upon interacting, you will be given a detailed view of the challenge. Here you can select the difficulty from 1 to 5 which will increment the enemies’ level (starts at level 16). You can also modify how many challenge waves you would want to have (at a maximum of 6 waves). This increments the cost of Trailblaze Power but multiplies your rewards. You will also be notified if your current team is underpowered, but don’t worry because you can always come back here when you’ve gained enough level.
Fortunately, your starting characters: The protagonist, March 7th, Dan Heng, and Asta are good enough to use here since they all possess the enemies’ weaknesses. Just make sure to target the enemy with a specific weakness with whomever character’s turn it is.
