Honkai: Star Rail - Out of Reach Guide

And you are back here again with another Honkai: Star Rail guide. It can be frustrating when a mission won’t trigger or when you get lost somewhere in the middle because you didn’t read the dialogue. But don’t worry, we did.

‘Out of Reach’ is another adventure mission, in other words, a side quest, located in the Space Station. Finishing this will earn you 40 Stellar Jades, 250 Trailblaze EXPs, 5 Adventure Logs, 10 Kapo-Kali, and 12,000 Credits.

In short, this is may be a quest that you hate. Here are the steps:

Find the source of the cry for help by following the decibel changes
Ask about the old man’s condition and investigate the stored items at the end of the repulsion bridge
Go to the maintenance room! Maybe the old man will give you a reward
Go to the room marked on the developed treasure map
Search for Comet Hunter’s Treasure in the inner parts of the cabin
Give Wen Tianweng the so-called treasure

When you enter the room where quest marker is, you’ll hear a man crying for help. You’ll see the man located on the floor below you, so yes, your job now is to get to him (and the treasure chest next to him) and help him get out. What follows is the bridge connector puzzle.

Walk down the stairs on the side and go to the back of the room to the elevator to go down. Make sure to turn the bridge blue if you haven’t already. The old man will continue telling you how dire his situation was and how youngsters these days are just bad.

Take the left route and go to the end to click on the terminal to open the bridge. That is going to open the white bridge on the other side of the room.

Run back to the elevator and switch to orange bridges. Run all the way right to the opposite end of the elevator, to the platform that now has a white bridge connected and tap on the terminal there to switch back to blue bridge.

And that’s how you get here and save the old man!

He’ll tell you to head to the maintenance room and maybe you will get your reward. So head there and talk to the man who will later introduce himself as the maintenance Wen Tianweng, the only mechanic there now because his partner ditched him. He was pretty blatant about not wanting to reward you with anything, but gave you a treasure map later anyway after trashtalking his partner.

You go back to the Storage Zone and follow the marker to the corner of the room that will lead you to the “treasure.”

And upon reading the first graffiti, it says that there is actually no treasure. But since you’re here anyway, pick up the four pictures which are all located within the room. Picking each of them up will reveal a little something about Hosea Lazaro, the person that left them behind. You learn that this man is the person behind the recipe of the popular drink Kapo-Kali.

Go back to meet Wen Tianweng to give him the “treasure” and enjoy a heart-to-heart dialogue as he realized that his friend wasn’t that bad of a person. Whichever option you choose, even if you insist he keeps the recipe, you will still get the Kapo-Kali Secret Recipe, along with the mission’s rewards which inlcude 40 Stellar Jades. And with that, you’re done with the mission!
