Onix is a Rock and Ground-type Pokemon that you can catch in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. The highest stat of Onix is its defense, it is considered a rock snake pokemon. This guide will show you how and where you can get an Onix in game.

Onix has only one evolution, it can evolve into a Steelix when you trade it while it is holding a Metal Coat.
Before you start catching an Onix, make sure you have a Fighting, Ground, Steel, Ice, Water, or Grass-type Pokemon because they deal more damage to an Onix.
The Onix is a larger type pokemon that roam in the Crimson Mirelands so you will need to fight it. Once you are ready, go to Crimson Mirelands and head down to Scarlet Bog.
You can find an Onix near the lava ponds in the area. The exact location of the Onix is on the map above.
Attack and fight him until it reaches a lower HP. Once you get it to low health, throw a Pokeball and wait for it to be captured. You may need to do this a couple of times before you can get an Onix.
