In ARK: Survival Ascended, the new remaster of ARK: Survival Evolved, Black Pearls are a rare resource players can collect to craft dozens of powerful new items.

We’ll show you how to farm these Black Pearls fast and easy so you can hopefully get better gear as soon as possible.

How To Get Black Pearls Fast

If you don’t want to bother with complex gameplay, that’s okay. You can get Black Pearls just by fishing, and it usually takes about a minute for you to catch a fish.

Keep in mind though, it’s not very efficient or fast, so this is just for players who don’t feel like doing a lot and just want to get the resource while idling.

There are a lot of creatures that have a chance to just drop Black Pearls when killed, so all you need to do is find one and kill it. Here’s a list of creatures and how much they drop:

  • Trilobite: Rare chance, but they’re easy to find
  • Eurypterid: 3-4 Black Pearls
  • Ammonite: Rare chance, but killing them makes every other creature aggressive so you could come across another creature that has better chances of dropping them
  • Tusoteuthis: 32 Black Pearls
  • Alpha Tusoteuthis: 75 Black Pearls
  • Alpha Mosasaur: 100 Black Pearls
Shows the Eurypterids mentioned in the article.

Out of all of these, we think farming Eurypterids is the most efficient way, since they’re easy to find and have a low health pool so you can kill them with basically any tame.

Another common strategy is to tame a Diplocaulus which will attack enemies for you, and since Eurypterids have low health, you can basically just run around and kill them with ease.

We recommended farming Eurypterids, but really, you can farm Black Pearls by killing any of the enemies we mentioned.

If you just go into the ocean, you’ll find most of them pretty quickly, so the main thing we can recommend is just sitting in the ocean and you might end up passively collecting Black Pearls anyway.
