In Ark: Survival Ascended, there is a wide range of usable loot and prestigious rewards from going through various difficult caves and defeating certain bosses that you can summon around the map.
Among these collectible rewards are chibis, which, in addition to being cool cosmetics, can also help raise the max level of your character. Here’s one way you can get them!
How to Get Chibis | Island
Currently, the only map in Ark: Survival Ascended is the Island. In order to get chibis in this map, you will need to first gain access to the Tek Cave.
This step will require you to beat the three other bosses in the game, which is no easy task, especially if you don’t have a team that will help you kill them.
The Tek Cave itself is an endgame activity that, if you successfully clear it, will essentially mark the “end” of your current run and have your character ascend, increasing your max attainable level.
To clear the cave, you will have to navigate through various hazards and powerful dinosaurs until you reach the teleporter pad that will take you to the final boss of the map.
Upon defeating the Overseer and ascending, you will be rewarded with varying random chibis depending on the difficulty you cleared the cave on. The following are the different difficulty levels and corresponding rewards:
- Gamma – Gives you 1 chibi upon completion.
- Beta – Gives you 2 chibis upon completion.
- Alpha – This is the hardest difficulty, and it will reward you with 3 chibis upon completion.
Take note that you will lose all of your items upon ascension, but some players have claimed that you can safely store all of your gear into one of your dinosaurs before the process begins. You will have to return to the area to retrieve your items later on, though.
That’s pretty much all you need to know in order to farm chibis in Ark: Survival Ascended. It will take a lot of grinding if you ever want to do this, but it will all be worth it, especially if you have several tribemates who can help you out!
