How the Atelier Remodel Works
In every main region in Atelier Ryza 3, there are homes called Atelier. Here, you and your party will rest up and do whatever you need to do before continuing on with your journey. However, the Atelier can do things that no normal home can do. There is a system called Remodel, in which you can choose what the inside of your Atelier looks like, as well as the effect.
You may be asking “what effect?”. The effect we are talking about is the bonus that comes with remodeling. See, there are three options for when you want to remodel your Atelier: Research Base, Farm, and Laboratory. These three all have their own special effect that will affect the game. Here are the effects:
- Research Base – Shows treasure
- Farm – Adds a garden
- Laboratory – Increase SP gain rate
The effects are simple, and they last the whole game as long as you keep the house that you built. You can always change it whenever you want, but you will need materials every time you do so. I do have to warn you now to avoid the Research Base model. While treasure chests do include goodies, they aren’t worth it. There is no good loot to be found inside, not even Book Recipes.
A great starting Atelier would be the Laboratory. When you get your first Atelier, I recommend that you remodel the Atelier to its Laboratory form. SP is vital in character progression, and having an increased rate when you are starting is good in the long run.
Farm isn’t really all that special, as it just adds a garden. While you can grow your own crops with this garden, it’s not really a good bonus effect compared to the increase SP gain rate of the Laboratory Atelier, but it is more useful than the Research Base Atelier.
