Recently there’s been news circulating on how a popular gaming content creator called IShowSpeed got a Fortnite skin of him. If this is true, it won’t be the first time that a popular content creator had their own skin in Fortnite. Popular Fortnite content creators like SypherPK have their own skins in the game as well, but the difference between the two is that SypherPK primarily plays Fortnite while IShowSpeed often jumps to other games from time to time. So are rumors that this content creator got their own skin in Fortnite true?
Did Fortnite Add An IshowSpeed Skin In Their Game?
The short answer is no, he doesn’t have a skin in Fortnite. Although the content creator had an explosive growth in Youtube over the past year, he does not have his own skin in Fortnite. Even with his popularity he has his own fair share of controversies in the past and that may affect the possibility of this actually happening. It would be a liability for Epic Games if they add a skin like this of a creator that doesn’t primarily play Fortnite and has their own controversies.
The video seems to be a fake video that shows the alleged IShowSpeed Skin in Fortnite, complete with idle animations and the game’s UI. It even showed multiple different costumes that the streamer wore in famous clips of him that went around the internet for a while.
Turns out the video IShowSpeed reacted is actually a ruse by the youtuber called Trimix whose goal was to fool him in thinking he actually had a skin in Fortnite. You can see his video here: I Surprised iShowSpeed With His Own Fortnite Skin!
So no, IShowSpeed doesn’t have his own skin in Fornite. It was all an elaborate and well-made ruse by the Youtuber Trimix. Now that’s what we call an artisan-made prank.
