Dinkum: How To Get Quarry

From all my time playing Modded Minecraft and Dwarf Fortress, there’s nothing more relaxing than mining. Even more relaxing is if it’s automated mining! Are you tired of going through the deep mine and dying to the glowing crocodiles and bats? Are you also tired of using the metal detector running around the island looking for barrels and gold boxes? Well, this is the guide for you then! Let’s see how to get Quarry in Dinkum.

How To Get Quarry In Dinkum

To get the quarry you first need to get our favorite NPC, Franklyn. You can wait for Franklyn to visit your island or better yet, make him a permanent member of the island by making a shop for him! Once you have him on your island, give him Shiny Disks until you can make the Quarry.

You can make the Quarry with 5 Old Gears, 1 Old Contraption, 3 Old Springs, 1 Button Board, and 1 Old Toy. These items can be hard to come by since you can’t craft any of these ingredients. My suggestion is to go down the deep mines if you’re brave enough. There’s also using the metal detector which is much safer, good thing we have a guide for that right here: Dinkum: How To Use Metal Detector | Full Guide On Using The Metal Detector.

Once you’ve made one Quarry, or a couple of them in my case, you can place them down wherever you want. Just make sure that the 4 spaces around it (up, down, left, right) are empty and not obstructed by anything like houses or furniture. The reason for this is that every day the Quarry spawns either a rock with ore, or barrels and gold boxes.

I usually spend don’t mind the Quarry till most if not all spaces around it are full. It makes it more fun seeing all of that potential loot once it’s all there. So, when the Quarry has produced its products, get your pickaxe and start hitting everything!

And there you go, Congratulations, you now know where to get the Quarry and how to use them! Now go out there and strike the earth!
