When there’s farming there’s also brewing, that’s a constant in history and in video games. Some scientists say that alcoholic beverages predate farming, and if that’s true then being drunk is just human nature at this point! In Stardew Valley I made an empire of just brewing Ancient Fruits and made millions, in Dinkum you can basically do the same! Well, we don’t have Ancient Fruits here, but we do have something else. Let’s find out how to use a keg in Dinkum.
How To Use A Keg In Dinkum
Before you go and make your brewing empire you first need to defeat the most dangerous boss in the game; Bureaucracy! To make a keg you need at least level 10 in foraging and a Woodcutting License Level 2. Once you’ve gotten all of that then you should unlock the recipe to craft Kegs.
A Keg costs 5 Palm Wood Planks and 1 Iron Bar, pretty simple to make in the early stages of the game. That’s why you should make a lot, because these things can make you a lot of money!
Once you’ve placed down your keg somewhere nice, or in my case in a ditch somewhere, then you can think of using them. The keg can accept 3 things, Bottle Brush, Yellow Wattle Flower or Jelly. Bottle Brush and Yellow Wattle Flowers can easily be found in bushes around the island but Jelly is a little bit trickier to find.
Jelly can only be found by fighting jellyfish in the water, so keep that in mind.
Once you’ve gotten what you want to place inside the Keg then just hold the item you want and face the keg. Left click on the keg and it should feed 10 units of whatever you want in there.
After feeding the kegs some yummy stuff you have to wait for them to finish brewing. The kegs can take couple of days to brew, but once done it should just spit out the product right in front of it.
Congratulations, you now know how to use the keg! For a more in-depth guide on how to brew you can check out this article right here: Dinkum: Brewing Basics | Brewing Guide.
