Finding a specific monster in Dragon’s Dogma 2 can be so hard with nothing telling you so on the map. But there’s a way to find a specific creature on the map. And you can make a mental note with this over time. We’ll show you how and the result is going to be very specific.

How To Find Specific Monster On The Map

Currently there’s no direct way that’ll show you, for example, a Molten Fury on command. But using the Forager specialization, we can somewhat achieve this.

First, you need a Pawn with Forager specialization or have it on your own. If you need the tome, find Kendrick at the Slums and finish his quest. This is the ability that will allow you to see the materials on the map. But you’ll probably notice that it doesn’t show every single thing there is.

Here’s the thing, Forager only shows materials necessary to upgrade your gears. And along with the materials, the monster that carries them. So, if you need a Misshape Eye, it’ll show the Cyclops. Or a Dragon Scale, which means Dragons.

Some monsters do tend to spawn in certain areas. But some are special and can take hours of just running around to find them. Grinding for them while looking for what you need is the easiest way to do this.

Or you can look for which item these creatures can drop. Then, head to the merchant and look for weapons which require these materials to upgrade.

And that’s how you can find a specific monster on the map in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Check out our guide for the Phantom Oxcart quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2!
