Learning the maps in Escape from Tarkov can be quite a challenge. It’s one of those games where there’s no in-game map and even if you find an actual map for one of the places in the game, it will only help you if you actually know how to use a map. This game has a steep learning curve, and something simple in other games like the map can be a whole set of skills to learn in Escape from Tarkov. In this guide we’ll show you some tips on how to go through the Reserve.
Reserve Map Guide 2023 – Exits, Loot, Keys & Stashes In Escape From Tarkov
The Reserve is a map that is not really suggested to go to for new players. Because of how spawns work in Tarkov you can easily go into Reserve and be dead in a matter of seconds unless you know what you’re doing. It’s one of the maps that take a bit of skill to go through and even then you can easily just die from a lucky grenade or a slip-up.
Spawns
From the image above you can see all the spawns you can get in the Reserve map marked by the arrows. You may have noticed that some of these spawns are fairly close to each other and that’s the point of this map. Expect heavy PVP in this map even at the start of the raid.
For Example, if you spawn at the southwestern spawn, there’s a possibility that players will be to your east and north the moment you get in. Make your way into cover and buildings fast and find a better position since most of these spawns are quite open.
PVP Zones and Loot
Reserve is a small and dense map so you should expect to have PVP at any point and at any place. There are also some places where players usually bump into each other and fighting occurs. Seen above are areas marked where most players fight each other, a few minutes into the raid and you can fairly be certain that the open areas to the southwest and northeast is empty but still be cautious!
Of course there’s a reason why players gravitate to these places, these are usually the places with the best loot. The loot density in Reserve is higher than any other map bar Factory so keep an eye out for loot and enemies!
To add to the mayhem there’s a lot of AI enemies that spawn in this map, including raiders which can either be a pain or a great loot opportunity. Shown above in the red and white skull icons is where the raid bosses can spawn and they usually have a lot of AI allies for you to shoot and loot. Congratulations you now know most of the points of interest in the Reserve map in Escape from Tarkov, now go out there and good luck with your raid!
