Final Fantasy XIV will see many types of characters with a lot of roles to do especially in dungeons with big parties. In this guide, we will be talking about the Sage and what is the best job for it as well as the best skills to use. Let’s get started.

FULL Sage Job Guide – Final Fantasy XIV

Healing

The biggest thing and most important skill that you will need as a Healer Sage is Kardia.

Source – specstre

Over the course of a big fight, it will do a lot and it should be applied, but sometimes it can lack compared to other tools that you should be using too. You can heal and lower the party damage, but it shouldn’t be about fixing, rather it should be minimizing it

Addersgall

Source – specstre

Every 20 seconds you will get a free Addersgall. You can get and stack it up to a maximum of a 3. You cannot use these chargers on the damage-dealing things, unlike some other classes. You can only spend them on these 4 abilities:

  • Kerachole
  • Ixochole
  • Taurochole
  • Druochole

You will need to use them a lot of and actually, they are how you will stay ahead of the whole healing curve. You will want to use them all and actually combine them for maximum effectiveness.

Major OGCDS

There are 2 types of skills that you should be focusing on here. The Single Target and the AOE attacks. These are the best ones:

  • AOE – Panhaima
  • Single Target – Haima

You can do very interesting chains with them and we highly recommend trying them out as Sage. Combine them to get the most out of their buffs.

Minor OGCDS

There are a total of 2 spells that you should be using as your minors:

  • Soteria
  • Pepsis

Both of them will drastically improve your overall ability to do heals or any type of skills output. You will want to combine them with the majors to get the most out of them too.

Damage Dealing

Source – specstre

Your best friend for dealing a lot of damage with the Sage is the Dosis spell. It will allow you to be not only a healer but a competitive damage dealer as well. Use it as most as possible since it will also restore HP too.

You will also need to use both the Toxikkon II and mix it up with Addersting. They are very good in combination and will provide you with much power in dungeons.

Another type of spell that you will want to keep up with for damage dealing is the Dyskrasia.

Source – specstre

This is a spell that you will want to do where are more than 2 targets since it can do damage to a whole area. You can also use any of these spells to combine them with the others:

  • Phlegma
  • Pneuma

You will want to combine all of them and you will become the best Sage ever! We hope that this guide has helped you out a bit on what to do best with the Sage. A big thank you and check out specstre for more details from YouTube here.
