Final Fantasy XIV: Wonderful Magic Pot & Sun/Moon Minion Guide

Magic Pot is an NPC located in the corner of Isles of Umbra in Western La Noscea (X:12.0 Y:36.8). This NPC sells two items which are Sun Minion and Moon Minion.

But what do these minions actually do?

Here’s all you need to know to get to Magic Pot and how to purchase the Sun/Moon Minion.

To get to this NPC, you need to go to Western La Noscea (X:12.0 Y:36.8) of the Isles of Umbra. Interact with this NPC, “Gimme Elixir”.

This will open up a trading menu. The items he’s selling are minions, Wind-up Moon and Wind-up Sun.

Wind-up Sun Minion

To get this minion you simply need to trade 1 Elixir to the NPC and he will give you the Wind-up Sun Minion.

Interacting with /poke will cause the sun to levitate upwards and to adjust its elevation.

What this minion do is simply give you lighting for screenshots and photos purposes or just to follow you around for fun.

Using HUD hide option will remove the minion from view all the while giving you lighting for your poses.

Wind-up Moon Minion

To get this minion you simply need to trade 1 Hi-Elixir to the NPC and he will give you the Wind-up Moon Minion.

Interacting with /poke will cause the sun to levitate upwards and to adjust its elevation. While /point will inform others of its location and /blowkiss will give you strange looks from passersby.

Same thing with the Sun Minion, this too will give you ambience lighting for screenshot and photo purposes.
