In your PS5 main menu go to Settings. Then go to Users and Accounts and head to Account and then Security. There you’ll find the 2-Step Verification setting. Select that and you can either go for the text messages or authenticator.
If you want to use the Authenticator app you’ll be given a QR Code that you need to scan. You can also just use the Google Authenticator app that you can get from the app store for free to scan the QR code. Once you scan it you can then use the code by typing it into the bar below the QR code.
Once that’s done you’ll be given a set of backup codes if you can’t access your authenticator. Remember to write that down somewhere safe.
