Final Fantasy is a beautiful game where you can explore and simply immerse yourself in the amazing wide open world. But once you get to the end point of the game you’ll need to do a lot of raiding to advance and become better. In this guide, we will be helping you out with How to Start Raiding. Let’s get started.
FFXIV – How To Start Raiding
Raiding is the end-game content that you will be doing once you complete the story and the leveling-up progress. It is not all that simple to understand especially if you are a newcomer to the game leaving you sometimes wondering and lost in various raids.
You are able able to go into the Raiding section of the game by simply opening up the Duty Finder. You can find here these types of raids:
- Normal Raids
- Normal Trial Trial Raids
- Alliance Raids
- Expert Dungeons
Extreme Trials
You will start out your raiding experience with the Extreme Trials. These fights that you will go through are basically an introduction to higher–difficulty things in the game.
These are the most basic of raids that you will be doing so we definitely recommend starting out with them. Plus, they are not all that much team based so if someone, or you, might die in the fight they won’t be affecting the whole group making it a very good starter raid.
You will learn the raiding fundamentals while also having to use your brain here or there to be better able to pass through them.
Savage Raids
Savage raids have a slight bump in their difficulty but they are not all that difficult to go through. The most noticeable difference between the Extreme ones is that personal failure, or in better terms, you dying, can tend to lead to a group wipe. Yikes!
There are about 3 to 4 moments in Savage Fights where you’re actually going to need to use the big defensive cooldowns to be able to survive.
Ultimate Raids
They are the last addition to raiding in FFXIV and they were added in 2017. You will be getting a much harder boss and also the biggest thing about them is you facing several bosses one after the other.
We recommend doing these the last only after you have prepared with the other 2. Personal failure will always result in your group getting wiped so make sure that you are prepared and actually talking with your group and squad when doing raids.
They do give you some very good rewards so you can start raiding them if you’re looking for some very good loot.
That’s all that there is to start raiding in FFXIV. Definitely start out with the Extreme Trials to be able to learn how they work better. We hope that this guide has helped you out with what you’ll need to do for raiding in the future. A big thank you to specstre from YouTube. Make sure to check him out here for more details.
