The Playstations 5 brings Playstation gaming to the next level and they live up to the hype. At $400, it has some state-of-the-art gaming specs at the slight cost of warmer room temperature. However, you’d probably expect that it also comes with tidbits of features and just covenient functions. Like a full-screen internet browser mode.
Yeah, you cannot actually use full-screen mode while using the internet browser. Unless?
PS5 Internet Browser Full-Screen Mode
The PS5 has a workaround that allows you access Google(!) and you can even do it in full screen mode. Because you already paying over $400 with this game, you want to be able to do simple stuff like watching YouTube on full screen.
If you know how to access to the web browser, you’ll find that you cannot zoom to the page. You’re stuck with the browser that’s kind of just floating on the homepage and not using the full screen mode. So we’ll start with getting the zoom function working.
Head over to the Settings, then go to Accessibility. Under the Display and Sound part, there’ll be the Zoom function. When you click that, you’ll have to Enable Zoom.
You’ve unlocked the full screen mode.
Now we’re going to figure out how to open the web browser if you don’t know how.
Go to Settings and head to the Network category. Under this tab, choose View PlayStation Network Status.
This will send you to the Network Status page of PlayStation. Scroll down and you’ll see in the network bar, the YouTube link of PlayStation. Click that link and then make sure that you’ve logged into your Google account for YouTube.
Open the Settings by clicking on your Google profile. Then click Privacy, and then find the word Google Privacy Policy. This is going to bring you to the Google page.
Finally, you can go to the 9-dot menu and pick Search. There you go, you have Google on now!
Another alternative is by messaging a friend a link to the website that you want to access. You can just send them Google.com and then click on that to open the page immediately.
By pressing the PlayStation button + Square, you can zoom into the internet browser and then go full screen mode this way. You can keep adjusting until you feel comfortable with what you’re seeing.
And that’s how you get your PS5 to open the internet browser in full screen!
