Who would have thought making robots would be the downfall of the Soviet Union in Atomic Heart?
Granted, they didn’t have Terminator at the time to warn them why making robots with AI is a bad idea. Because of that, Facility 3826 (the location Atomic Heart takes place) is now plagued with robots that are out for blood.
As Major Nechaev, you will be fighting hordes of robots as you find a way to end this metallic nightmare, or even escape if things go wrong.
In this guide, we show you how to complete the In Hot Pursuit quest.
Atomic Heart – In Hot Pursuit
#1 Cross the Seed Bank
When you get the objective, you will have to cross a large area called the Seed Bank.
It is essentially an area where seeds are kept for the purpose of growing them on Earth and Mars. You’re crossing this area because you need to find someone named Petrov, who is important for the plan to take down the robots.
Along the way, you will no doubt encounter a ton of enemies. Make sure to come in prepared with health items and a lot of ammo.
As you progress further into the Seed Bank, you will enter a room full of resources. You will also find a computer to buy guns and upgrade your equipment. If you didn’t come in prepared, now is the time to do so, as beyond the next door are more robots.
Exiting the room, you will find a large space with a lot of enemies roaming around. You can stealth it to avoid having to brute force your way through, but that’s entirely up to you.
There is a fast way to get to the other side.
You can use the zipline up on this roof to get across to the other platform easily and without having to fight a bunch of robots.
All you have to do is unlock the door here and use the forklift on the other side to get up on the roof.
After that, you can just zipline across.
Once you make it to the other side, go down the hole. You can jump into the polymer and safely get down.
Once you are down the hole and into a new room, you can find Petrov, or his headless corpse, in the corner here.
#2 Find a Way to Leave the Complex and Activate the PEC-4 Birchtree
With Petrov dead, you will need to find a way to leave the Complex, but not without taking the Candle with you (it’s the glowing ball Petrov was holding).
Bring it with you as you follow the objective marker.
Once you make it back to the main hall, place the Candle here to activate the PEC-4 Birchtree.
Once you have placed it here, In Hot Pursuit will be completed and you will receive new objectives.
