We all know that in every video game in existence there is at least a miniscule group that takes the game to the next level. Reddit is the front page of the internet; it says there on the tin. Despite that, there are some things that should be on the front page of anything. And that’s sexual content and math. Reddit user Excellent-String-338 posted in the Lost Ark subreddit a formula for a weapon’s power in the game.
Looks simple right? I thought so too. Well to my understanding this is actually a formula built upon a much longer formula here. It is used to show the actual calculation of the weapon’s power to the exact number rounded up.
The gist of the formula is to prove that honing your weapon is much more important and impactful than honing the rest of your gear in terms of damage.
I understand this, not the actual calculations, but the fact that people go through such lengths to learn things about the game. Video games aren’t just hit this and complete the objective that. It has complicated things underneath it and sometimes it takes just certain people to find and understand these. This is so that it can be shown to a broader audience. It’s just that sometimes in the pursuit of this knowledge they forget that normal people need the layman’s explanation.
