People have always wondered how some steam users practically have an unending game library filled with games. You can buy them, yes. But getting free games as well as free DLCs which you can play for the rest of your life?! Count me in. Let’s see how to do this through a very simple and basic method using the SteamDB Free Packages Tool.
SteamDB Free Packages Tool – Mass Activate Free Steam Games
First of all, this focuses on Free Games and Free Demos that can be found in the Steam Library. It’s a really useful method not just for getting tons of playable games, but from time to time there will be a Steam game that will go free for a limited and short time.
With this method, you’ll catch and get yourself lots of free games that you usually needed to pay for to be able to play them. You can do this through SteamDB. Be warned though. Your Steam Library List will explode with a bunch of new games. But still, you can use the Search Bar to find the game that you’re looking for, so it isn’t really that big of an issue.
The key to doing this is this trusted 3rd party tool – SteamDB. You will have to visit the website:
www.Steamdb.info
Make sure to have the SteamDB extension installed as well. It is available for Chrome, Firefox, etc. When you have finished installing the extension, you will need to sign in with your Steam account. This will pop up in the right corner of the screen.
After signing in, you’ll get redirected to the normal Steam front page(which is the Summer Sale 2022 as of writing this). Then just go back to SteamDB. Now you will need to enter this link:
https://steamdb.info/freepackages
This page will show you all the packages (games) that can be downloaded, or simply added to your library. It will be a huge list with a ton of options to choose from. You can do a simple scroll down to see what is available, or simply you can press to add them all to your Steam Library. This list is absolutely massive! To be precise – 17k games.
How to Use the SteamDB Free Packages Tool to Get Free Steam Games
Some games won’t be available in your country. You can also tick the bar to hide Demos if you don’t feel like filling up your library with them. You can also tick the option to only see the list for owned games. This is for the DLCs that might be free without you knowing about them.
Some people have a strategy that works for them while using this tool. If you already have all the games in your library, let’s say you have already Activated all the packages, well then you can press this button daily.
This way, if ever some paid game becomes free without you knowing it, you’ll get it added to your Steam Library. So while scrolling, one day you might get surprised by a couple of big maybe triple AAA titles in your library.
Be wary though, activating these keys will take time. The math has been calculated to take t about 7 days’ worth of time without the Demos. So keep this in mind. Also, free games do not add +1 to owned games on your Steam Profile.
