Metroid Dread has just been released and the fans are overjoyed. Unfortunately, some of them have problems here and there that can be easily fixed with a quick Google search. If you’ve stumbled into this article, that means that you are one of the poor souls who need my help. Well, I’ll be glad to show you how to get past the Fire Plant that keeps blocking your way all over the map.
How to Destroy Fire Plant – Metroid Dread
The Fire Plants are obstacles that can be found all over the map, and their only purpose is that they have to stop your progress if you haven’t defeated one of the bosses yet.
To destroy the plants and advance, you need to shoot them with your Ice Missiles. If you don’t know what those are, here is what you need to do.
To acquire Ice Missiles, you will need to defeat the Blue EMMI.
In the picture above you can see the exact location of the Blue EMMI: Ghavoran. If you walk to Central/Northern Ghavoran, you will stumble into it.
Once this boss has been defeated, you will get the Ice Missiles that you can just shoot at the Fire Plants and that will disintegrate them in almost a second.
Those will also be useful against other enemies and for other platforming puzzles, so it would be great to get them in general.
