In Monster Hunter Sunbreak you will find all sorts of players that are specializing in only one weapon and find ways to perfect their weapons. In this guide, we will be talking about the Hunting Horn weapon and what has changed in the new update.

Hunting Horn Tutorial & Build Guide – Monster Hunter Sunbreak

As a new Switch skill that has been introduced with the Sunbreak they will have the:

  • Crash Attack Combo – it is a combination of attacks combined with the swing and crush attacks. It is extremely useful when being in a fixed position and from very close range to your target. The combo loop can also vary
  • Swing Combo – it is a two-hit attack that can be delivered either from the right side or the left side. It is very handy when you want to switch off into a position and do damage to have the upper hand over your target

The Swing Combo makes a little bit more sense to use. Not only does it offer a good amount of damage, but that ability to be able to maneuver towards the right or left is a huge bonus. It can actually sometimes turn the tide of a battle to your favor.

Then you will have the:

  • Bead of Resonance – you are basically placing a bead on the surface of the ground wherever you want. It does not do good damage at all. The only positive from it is that over time, every time you play a tune, you will get a damage buff and a bonus
  • Silkbind Shockwave – this one gives you Hyper armor. It will put you up in the air, it will do a hit, and will let you do a follow-up. The biggest thing about it is that it gives all your songs and tunes additional shock waves.

How to Get the Hunting Horn in Monster Hunter Sunbreak

The Hunting Horn is a very raw focused damage weapon and at least in high rank it is very difficult or not advisable to be running it very high crit on it. Sometimes you can land a crit on your Earthshaker, but most of the time you’ll be wanting to focus on the raw damage.

You can also place an Egg. The Egg works so that when you play 3 songs and it will go away, but while it is up it is also boosting and buffing your raw damage, something that you want to be focusing on in the first place.

You will want to focus on Perfrom as a main for your combos. You can also experiment, with what works on the situation and the target you’re facing as well as the song that you choose to keep up. It is also very good for working on your iframes.

Sonic Wave is something that you’ll also want to focus on while dealing with monsters so you’ll be able to output a bigger amount of damage. You will also get a little boost when using this more and more and with each successful impacted hit.

A huge thank you and credit goes to the YouTuber by the name of SDShepard. You can check out his videos because he goes into detail about MHS things and explains them all. You can find his videos here.
