The new charm system in Monster Hunter has often been seen to be a grind and a chore for many players. Players who don’t have the time to gather resources and hunt won’t have the chance to get good charms. That’s why in this guide I’ll explain to you a better method of getting those charms as well as an easy way to farm Wyvern Ride.
EASY Wyvern Ride Farm & Charm Reroll Method in Monster Hunter Sunbreak
These methods that I will show you today need to be taken step by step. One wrong move and you might end up wasting a lot of time, or worse, resources. Follow these steps and hopefully, instead of wasting time and resources we instead save them. Because nobody wants a long grind.
Wyvern Ride Farm
Step 1: The map and Quest
For this Wyvern Ride method, I highly recommend the new Jungle map, because of its smaller size and the relative closeness of the monsters. The best quest for this is under the “Follower Collab Quests,” then “Support Surveys” and choose the 6-star master rank finally take “Operation Foggy Jungle.”
As you can see, in this quest you need to hunt Espinas and Chameleos, although the quest also includes a 3rd random monster. This will be important later.
Step 2: Golden and Normal Wire Bugs
First, you need to get the golden wire bugs, these bugs will increase the number of drops. The locations of these bugs are on the image above. Also, don’t forget to get the normal wire bug at area 10, you’ll need 3 wire bugs.
Step 3: Attack the NON-Quest monster
Remember when I said this quest features a third monster? Go and attack that and mount it. It’s easier to mount a non-quest monster so we’ll start with that. Once you’ve mounted them, get to the next step.
Step 4: Attack CHAMELEOS
Attack Chameleos with your non-quest monster mount. You can attack as much as you want just keep an eye out for that bar at the bottom.
Before the ride ends make sure to launch the monster at Chameleos. Do not use Mounted Punisher! Launching the monster will trigger a ride on the target. Now you’re riding Chameleos.
Step 5: Continue the attacks then switch to Espinas
Now with Chameleos, attack the non-quest monster. Just remember that before the bar fills, move to Espinas and attack it. When you can, launch Chameleos into Espinas and mount Espinas.
At this point, the non-quest monster should be there, and both it and Chameleos will be weak enough for you to handle them all at the same time. After that you can get all the loot from all three, this method at most will take you a couple of minutes once you get the hang of it.
Charm Reroll Method
Tired of getting bad charms? Here’s an easy and fast way of getting the charms you want without wasting resources!
Step 0: Resources and MP Accelerant
To do this method first you need to have an initial set of resources to get your charms. So go out there and farm for those resources, don’t worry this will be the only time you do this because those resources won’t be wasted with the reroll method.
What is also important to get are MP Accelerants. Previous Charm Reroll methods needed you to go through hunts to progress the melding pot. With this new item from Sunbreak, you can instantly finish it instead, no need to go hunting!
Where do you get this wonder item? Well through the Argosy. You can get this with the new Backroom Deals. Activate it and go into a hunt, once completed, some of your items will be exchanged for random ones, this includes the chance of getting MP Accelerant.
Step 1: Turn off Autosave
In the Options menu, under Save Data, there’s an option to toggle autosave on or off. We need it off for this method.
Step 2: Immediately Save
After turning off autosave, save your game. This is important so that you don’t load back to a state where autosave was on.
Step 3: Start Melding
Fill up the melding pot of your choice and once filled up you will be given a prompt to use an Accelerant for the melding process. Say yes for all of them. And when done the Talismans will be already complete. No need to go to hunts.
Step 4.a: Got what you want? Save.
When the process is done and the talismans you’ve made are good for you, go right up and save.
Step 4.b: Got a bad roll? Save-scum.
If you got horrible luck and didn’t get what you want then go to the System menu and hit the Return to Title Screen. It will prompt you to save or not. DO NOT SAVE. Go back to the title screen, then go back to your game and repeat the process from Step 3. Repeat till you get what you want, far easier than farming materials for weeks!
