Get your hands on Chamomile Seeds with this handy guide!

Chamomile Seed in Nightingale.
Let's get our hands on this useful material!

Without a doubt, Nightingale is a personal favorite of mine among the sea of survival titles available today. The best part about this game is despite its Early Access status, there’s so much to do that it technically allows you to complete the game! That being said, how about I give you guys a quick rundown on how to get Chamomile Seed in the game?

How To Get Chamomile Seed

Now, Chamomile Seed is an item in the game you get by processing a certain type of plant called Chamomile Flower. It’s a pretty simple process overall but remember that Nightingale prioritizes crafting over everything else. This means you’re going to need to get your hands on a few crafting stations if you intend to get your hands on this item.

Also, the Chamomile Seed is needed for the extremely useful Ritual Seed Nursery, which goes to show how useful these seeds can be. Typically, this is something you’ll get by progressing through the game, so if you take your time, everything will feel easy.

Going to need Chamomile Seeds for this!

Oh also, you’re going to need this guide on the Ritual Curio Configuration, yet another extremely handy item in Nightingale. There’s no end of useful things to craft in the game, so it’s a good idea to keep playing.

Let’s get started with the Stations!

The list here is pretty much what you need to get the Chamomile Seed. The list is as follows:

Simple Smelter

  • Stone Block x6 – You collect these items throughout the realms, specifically near rock formations and water basins.
  • Rocks x6 – Similar to the Stone Blocks, you’ll find these items throughout the realms. They’re even easier to gather, in fact.

Simple Saw Table

  • Wood Bundle x8 – You can chop down trees to get them.
  • Animal Fibre x4 – You can gather them from various animals in the realms. Of course, I would recommend you go for Prey rather than Predator just so it’s easier.

Brazier

  • Ingot x6 – Using the Smelter, craft the Ingots utilizing Ore, which you can get for mining mineral deposits.
  • Shaft x2 – You can make them using the Smelter for Ingots x2.

If you find it helpful, here’s a guide on how to unlock the Brazier in Nightingale!

Simple Masonry Bench

  • Lumber x4 – Turn Wood Bundles into Lumber through the Simple Saw Table.
  • Stone Block x4 – You collect these items throughout the realms, specifically near rock formations and water basins.
  • Animal Fibre x4 – You can gather them from various animals in the realms. Keep in mind that you’ll have to face either Predator or Prey for these items. I don’t know about you, but I’d prefer to go after the latter.

Simple Mortar Station

  • Lumber x3 – Turn Wood Bundles into Lumber through the Simple Saw Table.
  • Fibre x8 – While you can gather these from animals, it’s often easier to gather Fibre from plants.

Refined Saw Table

  • Lumber x3 – Turn Wood Bundles into Lumber through the Simple Saw Table. You’ll also eventually need Gilded Lumber for future items. Thankfully we have a guide!
  • Blade x2 – Blades are a rare drop from enemies, can be purchased from the Essence Trader, and can also be crafted from the Brazier (you’ll need Metal Plates x2, which you can craft from Ingots x3).
  • Mechanical Gears x2 – These can be crafted from the Brazier for Ingots x3.

Simple Spinning Wheel

  • Wood Bundle x3 – You can chop down trees to get them.
  • Fibre x15 – You can get them from both plants and animals.
  • Bone x1 – You gather these materials from animals.

Refined Masonry Bench

  • Carved Wood x3 – Using your Refined Saw Table, all you have to do is craft the Carved Wood using Lumber x4 (Wood Bundles into Lumber through the Simple Saw Table).
  • Mechanical Gear x2 – These can be crafted from the Brazier for Ingot x3.
  • Metal Tip x2 – Use the Brazier and Ingot x2 to get it.

SIDE NOTE: Want to have an easier time through the game? Here’s an easy progression guide in Nightingale!

Refined Mortar Station

  • Lumber x3 – Wood Bundles into Lumber.
  • Carved Stone x4 – You’ll need Stone Blocks x2 to get your hands on some Carved Stone.
  • Stone/Mineral/Gem/Pigment x2 – You can pretty much use any of these items to craft the Refined Mortar Station. Of course, the easiest to go for would be Stones or Gems.

Simple Enchanter’s Focus

  • Lumber x3 – Wood Bundles into Lumber.
  • Carved Stone x4 – You’ll need Stone Blocks x2 to get your hands on some Carved Stone.
  • Stone/Mineral/Gem/Pigment x2 – You can pretty much use any of these items to craft the Refined Mortar Station. Of course, the easiest to go for would be Stones or Gems.

For more details, here’s a dedicated guide on how to craft the Simple Enchanter’s Focus in Nightingale!

Refined Enchanters Focus

  • Etched Ingot x2 – Utilizing the Brazier from earlier, use Ingots x2 to get the Etched Ingot you need!
  • Carved Wood x4 – Craft the Carved Wood using Lumber x4.
  • Lens x2 – Utilizing your Simple Smelter, craft Glass using Gems of any kind (acquired through mining). After that, craft the Lens using Glass x2 in the Brazier.

Refined Spinning Wheel

  • Carved Wood x3 – Using your newly acquired Refined Saw Table, all you have to do is craft the Carved Wood using Lumber x4 (Wood Bundles into Lumber through the Simple Saw Table as always).
  • Shafts x4 – You can make them using the Smelter for Ingots x2.
  • Twine x3 – Any type of Fibre x2 will do, and you’ll need to craft it through the Simple Spinning Wheel.

It’s a lot, but the reason why you need so much is because you’re going to be traveling to the Swamp Herbarium Realm!

Getting to the Chamomile Plant

The easiest way to do so is through the Swamp Herbarium Realm, and you’ll need the following:

Swamp Realm Card

  • Paper x1 – Fortunately, crafting Paper is easy. With your Simple Saw Table, craft Paper using Wood Bundles x2.
  • Ink x1 – To craft Ink, you’ll need Refined Pigment (Pigment Items can come from various sources, including Meat and Plants). The Simple Mortar Station is what you’ll use.
  • Essence Dust x25 Essence Dust is gathered from all sorts of items and materials within the game. You can also gather Essence Dust from achieving milestones within the game.

This is where we’re going!

Herbarium Card

  • Coated Paper x1 – With your Simple Saw Table, craft Paper using Wood Bundles x2. After that, craft Coating by first getting Refined Fibre (through Fibre x6 with the help of the Simple Spinning Wheel), using Refined Fibre x2 to make Fabric, and then finally using Fabric x1 to make the Coating.
  • Vibrant Ink x1 – This first requires Ink x12, which you can get through Refined Pigment x1 and Glass x1 (which means you’ll need 12 of each ingredient). After that, using your Refined Masonry Bench, craft Gunpowder x1 using Sulphur x2, and Coal x2 (both acquired through mining)
  • Essence Dust x25 – Thankfully the easiest of the lost, you likely already gathered the Essence Dust you need by just going around and gathering the necessary ingredients.

Once you finally get to the realm, it’s time to start hunting for what you need! While other Realms will have the Chamomile Plant, I’m pointing you toward the direction where it’s most likely to appear. Fortunately, the recipe for all Realm Cards are the same, so it’s not a big deal. Oh by the way, the Chamomile Plant looks like this:

Don’t worry, you’ve got everything covered now! All you have to do is head to your Refined Mortar Station, and have Chamomile Plant x5 ready. That’s pretty much all you need to get the Chamomile Seed!
