There’s no denying that Nightingale is one of the best survival titles, period. The best part? It’s still in Early Access, which means you can be that the devs will keep trying out different things and adding new features as it goes! That said, are you interested in how to get Excellent Workbench in Nightingale? Fortunately, this guide was made just for you!
How To Get Excellent Workbench
I’m not going to mince words; it will take time to get yourself the Excellent Workbench. For example, before you can even get the blueprints necessary to make this crafting station, you already need to have many, many other stations created.
Not only that, you also should have already made it to The Watch. Most people see it as the endgame area of Early Access, but it’s not necessarily the case. It’s the place you end up in when you’ve exhausted most of the Tutorial Quests. Keep in mind that this will take a while, so you just need to be patient.
To accomplish the task, I’d recommend a Complete Gear Score progression guide, which we have right here!
Once you’ve made it to The Watch, all you have to do is fine Essence Trader Pearl, who will have the necessary blueprints you need. That said, I’m getting a little ahead of myself. How about we have a look at the plethora of crafting stations you’ll need?
Getting used to the grind with Stations
I’ve listed down what you need here, as well as how to get them. You’ll need the following:
Simple Smelter
- Stone Block x6 – You collect these items throughout the realms, specifically near rock formations and water basins.
- Rocks x6 – Similar to the Stone Blocks, you’ll find these items throughout the realms. They’re even easier to gather, in fact.
Simple Saw Table
- Wood Bundle x8 – You can chop down trees to get them.
- Animal Fibre x4 – You can gather them from various animals in the realms. Of course, I would recommend you go for Prey rather than Predator just so it’s easier.
Brazier
- Ingot x6 – Using the Smelter, craft the Ingots utilizing Ore, which you can get for mining mineral deposits.
- Shaft x2 – You can make them using the Smelter for Ingots x2.
If you find it helpful, here’s a guide on how to unlock the Brazier in Nightingale!
Refined Saw Table
- Lumber x3 – Turn Wood Bundles into Lumber through the Simple Saw Table.
- Blade x2 – Blades are a rare drop from enemies, can be purchased from the Essence Trader, and can also be crafted from the Brazier (you’ll need Metal Plates x2, which you can craft from Ingots x3).
- Mechanical Gears x2 – These can be crafted from the Brazier for Ingots x3.
Refined Masonry Bench
- Carved Wood x3 – Using your Refined Saw Table, all you have to do is craft the Carved Wood using Lumber x4 (Wood Bundles into Lumber through the Simple Saw Table).
- Mechanical Gear x2 – These can be crafted from the Brazier for Ingot x3.
- Metal Tip x2 – Use the Brazier and Ingot x2 to get it.
If you’re interested in more information, we have a more comprehensive guide on Carved Wood!
Excellent Saw Table
- Carved Wood x4 – You’ll be using Lumber x4 and the help of the Refined Saw Table for this.
- Etched Alloy Ingot x4 – The Alloy Ingot requires Copper Ore and Tin Ore (for Bronze). You can get both types of Ore through Mineral Deposits. You can then use these Alloy Ingots to create an Etched Alloy Ingot using the Brazier.
- Motor x1 – To get a Motor you’ll need Mechanical Gear x2 (these can be crafted from the Brazier for Ingots x3), Copper Wire x1 (you can get them from the appropriate Ingot in the Smelter), and Ingot x2 (you can get them from Ore using the Smelter).
- Steel Blade x2 – You’ll need Metal Plates x2 to craft this one at the Brazier.
Got the list memorized? Good! If you’d like my advice, all you have to do is take your time, and make sure you’re geared up. There’s no need to rush things. Have fun building your first base and stop to smell the Fae roses every now and then.
Crafting the Excellent Workbench
All right, looks like we’re at the end! To craft your Excellent Workbench, you need the following:
- Gilded Lumber x4 – At the Excellent Saw Table, you only need Lumber x2 and Ingot x2. It’s ridiculously easy, right?
- Etched Alloy Ingot x4 – The Alloy Ingot requires Copper Ore and Tin Ore (for Bronze). You can get both types of Ore through Mineral Deposits. You can then use these Alloy Ingots to create an Etched Alloy Ingot using the Brazier.
- Carved Stone x4 – With the Refined Masonry Bench, you only need Stone Block x2 to get a Carved Stone. That means you’ll need Stone Block x8.
With the Excellent Workbench, you’ll open yourself up to even more gear that you can craft, which in turn will help you through the rest of the game. Keep in mind that Nightingale is about crafting and survival, so beginners take note! And, as I stated above, take your time, and have fun!
