Detailed Walkthrough
To unlock the Gloom Card, you’ll first need to go to an Abeyance Realm. It doesn’t matter if you mix other cards with it as long as the main one is the Abeyance card. Once you’ve done that, you’ll need to look for the Gloom Site of Power on your map.
Sites of Power in Nightingale are where you unlock new cards, they also act as dungeons with obstacles and enemies around the place.
SIDE NOTE: You might need to go back home to get some stuff before continuing so here’s a guide on how to teleport back home!
Be sure to bring a lot of healing consumables as well as your best armor and weapons and don’t forget to bring enough ammo. You don’t have to fight every enemy along the dungeon, the main thing you’ll want to do is get to the end where the boss is.
At the end of the dungeon is the Fabled Automaton Knight, and you’ll need to fight and defeat it before you can unlock the Gloom Card. This can be difficult, so I suggest getting a lot of ammo for ranged weapons and a lot of consumables to stay in the fight.
Once you’ve defeated the boss, you’ll then be able to release the Hope Echo and then unlock the Gloom Card! To make it you’ll need to use 1 Coated Paper (Paper with Coating), 1 Vibrant Ink, and 25 Essence Dust. When used, it will more gloom and a threatening atmosphere to the map.
That’s how you unlock the gloom card in Nightingale. Now, go out there and try to get it yourself! If you’re looking for more cards check out our guide on how to unlock the Herbarium card for more info!
