No Man’s Sky is a gift that keeps on giving. We’ve all seen that one Internet Historian Video where it detailed the rise and fall and rise again of this game and it was a ride a lot of people won’t forget. For years now they’ve released updates upon updates that any greedy triple A company would happily put a price on and call a DLC but for Hello Games they’re doing it for free. In this guide, we’ll show you the easiest and fastest way of getting those new upgrades in No Man’s Sky Endurance update.

NMS Endurance: How To Get The Best Upgrades Easier & Faster In Endurance Update | No Man’s Sky

The new update has bought us Freighter bases! Now I know what you’re saying, we already had Freighter bases in No Man’s Sky. Well, this one makes it even better! Building a base on a planet is all nice, but going back to that base all the time can be a chore. That’s why we have Freighter Bases, so that we can bring our base anywhere we want. The update adds new rooms and parts for your Freighter bases. And don’t worry about your old Freighter because the new additions are all compatible with the old legacy parts.

But making these new parts can take some time, and we don’t like wasting time on video games. So where can you start getting the materials for the new freighter parts?

The first thing you can do is get the resources passively. Sending frigates to expeditions can be a great way of doing that. Specifically, you’ll want to do Industrial Expeditions because it has the highest chance of spawning Salvaged Frigate Modules.

Next on the list is doing missions. The black-market missions like delivering illegal cargo have a high chance of rewarding you Salvaged Frigate Modules. So while you’re waiting for your expeditions to finish you can do this to actively get those modules.

Now, this next step doesn’t guarantee to get you a Salvaged Frigate Module but if you’re in the middle of your expeditions and missions this is a great way to add a bit into the mix. If you talk to Helios and ask about derelict freighters, he will always give you an Emergency Broadcast Receiver which you can get from him every week.

Now doing this quest is quite easy, just go to the derelict cruiser and check the blue containers in it. Those containers have a small chance of spawning a Salvaged Frigate Module so keep an eye out for them.

Now that you’ve got the ways of getting those modules, go out there in the infinite vacuum of space and look for them!
