Solar Ships are a new addition to No Man’s Sky with the Outlaws update. Finding a Solar Ship is not as challenging but the color of the ship is random. This guide will show you how you can see sail types in No Man’s Sky Outlaws.

Who wouldn’t want a Solar Ship in a particular color? Finding a Solar Ship that suits your color palette can be challenging as it comes down to pure chance. When you find a Solar Ship, the side sails can have a different color. 

So how can you be sure that you have the right color? You can simply save first before you buy the ship and do not save your progress. After buying the ship, go to the scrapping unit on your right and you will see the shape of the sails. 

You can also test out the ship but do not go out of the galaxy. You can then check out the color of the sails of the ship this way. If you do not like the color or shape of your side sails, you can simply reload your save and you will get back all your units. 

If you get close enough to the ship, you can also go into camera mode and see a glow. This may indicate the color of the sails.
