There is a lot of fire-type Pokemon that you can catch in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. One of the fire-type Pokemon you can catch is the Chimchar. This guide will show you how you can catch and get a Chimchar for your team.

Chimchar is a fire-type Pokemon that is considered a Chimp Pokemon. You can find a Chimchar with a Blaze ability and it is weak to Ground, Rock, and Water-type moves.
Chimchar can evolve into Monferno when it reaches Level 14. When it reaches Level 36, it will evolve into an Infernape.
You can catch a Chimchar in the Obsidian Fields region in the Deertrack Heights and Ramanas Island. However, there is another way you can get a Chimchar early on in the game.
To do this, you need to continue the story until you reach the 7th mission. Complete the 7th mission and go to Jubilife Village and talk to the NPC called Paira. After talking to her, you will get the request called “The Mysterious Will-o’-the-Wisp”.
Go to Obsidian Fieldlands and rest until it is nightfall. Go southwest to the Windswept Run as shown in the quest marker. Investigate the tree in the quest area and you will encounter a Chimchar.
Catch the Chimchar and bring it back to Paira. You get to keep the Chimchar after completing the request.
