Increasing the friendship level of your Pokémon isn’t complicated. Unlike the Persona series, where you have to choose who you want to spend your day with and go through each character’s personal story, increasing Pokémon friendship levels is simple, and it’s a lot easier than you think.

Before we get to how we can increase the friendship level, you’ll need to unlock the ability to check on the progress of your friendship with each Pokémon, as the friendship level is hidden from the player and there is no way to check on your own.
To do that, you’ll need to complete a Request titled Measuring You Compatibility from a villager named Belamy, which appears after completing The Frenzy of the Lord of the Woods main story quest.
Completing the request is simple, all you have to do is show Belamy a Pokémon with a high level of friendship.
Show a Pokémon that you frequently use and the request will automatically complete, allowing you to return to Belamy whenever to check on the progress of your friendship status.
Now that you can check on the progress of your friendship with your Pokémon, you can now focus on increasing that level. There are 4 easy ways to do so. The first one is to win battles.
Your Pokémon will not only gain XP, but your friendship level will progress as well. Keep in mind that if the Pokémon whose friendship level you are trying to raise becomes KO’d, then their friendship level will go down. Even using items to revive them from being KO’d will lower it.
A fast way to progress your friendship level with battles is by going back to the starting area.
You won’t be earning a lot of EXP, but you will progress your friendship level the same amount as fighting a powerful Pokémon.
Gathering materials with your Pokémon is another way to increase the friendship level. Collecting resources is a must in order to gain money and get resources, so assigning a Pokémon to collect materials is a fast way to get the friendship level raised.
If you have any EXP Candy on you, feed it to your Pokemon. It will not only raise the EXP, but also the friendship level. EXP Candy are hard to find, so save some if you find more.
A simple way to increase friendship level just is letting your Pokémon out of its ball and let it run around with you in the wilds of Hisui. Nothing increases the bond of two people than going on an adventure side by side.
