Nightingale: How to Get Refined Workbench

Because of Nightingale’s relatively complex procedurally generated worlds and gear progression, it can be a bit confusing figuring out how to inch closer towards the late game. In this guide, we’ll show you everything you need to know in order to get the refined workbench to start upgrading your stuff!

How to Get Refined Workbench

The next level after “simple” crafting stations and gear is the “refined” tier, and you will start dipping your toes into this category once you reach the end of the first few realms.

By now, you will have learned how to build your first realm portal, get more synchronous lotuses, and upgrade stuff to uncommon rarity. You will likely be sitting on a lot of tier 1 essence as well.

The next step in your journey is to find a way into a Provisioner realm, which will require you to find and unlock the Provisioner site of power. After that, you’ll have to open up a portal to that realm, preferably in a Forest biome.

Once you enter the realm, seek out the Essence trader. His name and location will vary from player to player, so you’re on your own for this step.

Buying & Making the Refined Workbench

Upon finding the essence trader, scroll down to the “Crafting: Basics & Repair” category and buy the refined workbench for 15 tier 1 essence (buy the other crafting stations too). This will allow you to build one at your base.

At your base, all you need to do now is build the Refined Workbench using the following materials:

Make sure to place it indoors and on top of a foundation. This will ensure that it is not exposed to the elements and is on a stable surface, improving its crafting efficiency.

And that is everything you need to know in order to find the schematics of the refined workbench, as well as how to make one. As you work your way through this next tier of items, consider checking out our guide on how to get a Lancaster Pistol in Nightingale too!
