Another Crab’s Treasure is a quirky new souls-like game with a lot of platforming and puzzle solving involved. As you progress through the story, you will run into a few roadblocks that will require you to put your thinking cap on, and in this guide, we’ll show you how to complete the magnet puzzle in the Flotsam Vale area.
How to Solve the Magnet Puzzle (Flotsam Vale)
At the start of this seemingly baffling puzzle, there will be a switch that you can activate. Do this so you can get a spring that you can put on, which should fall down from the pipe to the right.
Keep this here for now, as you will need to do something else first. Make your way up the mound of garbage right behind the magnet so you can reach the platform with another switch on it.
Flip the switch to cause a Plug Fuse to spawn from the pipe above it. Swap into this shell and run back down to the first switch.
Plug in the fuse into the socket just to the left of the switch. This will trigger a brief cutscene showing the magnet starting to move from one spot to another. Now that the magnet is moving, swap into the spring from earlier.
With the spring equipped, stand under the spot where the magnet stops in this area as indicated by a crab icon on top of a metal platform. Hide in your shell and do not move until the magnet stops at a new location.
The magnet will drag you along to a higher platform where you can drop down and fight a few enemies before proceeding with the rest of your adventure. If you ever need to return, there is a spring that spawns nearby that you can use to ride the magnet again.
