Playing games like Destiny 2, there are certain terms you have to understand. Like meta, busted, mob etc. One of those terms that have been around for a while now is called God Roll. The term is used to describe weapons or gear that have amazing combinations of perks and stats, it’s almost like it was “rolled by God”. Players grind and farm weapons and gear in any game, not just Destiny 2, in order to get the God Roll of a weapon or gear. In this guide, we will be talking about the God Roll of the legendary Hothead.
The Hothead God Roll Guide – Destiny 2
There are two God Rolls for every weapon in Destiny 2. One for PvP and one for PvE. As God Rolls are very difficult to come by and requires a ton of time to farm and grind, you can spend most of your time in Destiny 2 just doing exactly that, besides the usual saving-the-world-with-your-magical-space-powers thing.
We will show you the God Rolls for both PvE and PvP in one table to make things easier.
Weapon Part | PvP God Roll | PvE God Roll |
Barrel | Volatile Launch (Blast Radius +15, Velocity -5, Handling -5) | Hard Launch (Velocity +15, Stability -10, Blast Radius -5) |
Magazine | Black Powder (Blast Radius +5, Stability -10) | Impact Casing (Increased damage on direct hits, Stability +10) |
Perk 1 | Impulse Amplifier (Massively increases projectile velocity, increases reload speed) | Field Prep (Increased ammo reserves. Faster reload, stow, and ready when you’re crouching) |
Perk 2 | Explosive Light (Picking up an Orb of Power increases the next projectile’s blast radius and damage) | Clown Cartridge (Reloading this weapon randomly overfills it from reserves) |
Masterwork | Blast Radius | Reload Speed |
Adept Mod | Adept Blast Radius | Adept Big Ones Spec |
