Mounts are something that’s always good to have in MMORPGs, and not just because they make you move faster. Some of these mounts can be awesome to show off, and riding a rare mount is a sign of status in the MMO community. We’ve all been there, a new player in an MMO and seeing an awesome mount that we plan on getting one day. Then that feeling of getting that mount is something no other genre can really give. FFXIV has a lot of different mounts you can get, and some of them can be found early in the game. In this guide we’ll show you the best early game mount for you to collect!
Best Early Game Mounts In FFXIV Guide
Even if you just started FFXIV and have the entire story of A Realm Reborn in front of you, there’s some mounts out there that you can get at this stage. Some of these can be easy to get, while others you need some effort to obtain them. Some can come from events while others can be just from playing the game. Here are some of the great mounts you can get early game.
Unicorn
That’s right, a Unicorn. Without spoiling much of the plot of one of the job, when you reach level 30 with the Conjurer and do a quest with for that job you can get a free Unicorn mount! That’s right a freaking Unicorn, and it can even fly, because of course it can. That’s common knowledge. The quest is called Unicorn Power.
Achievement Vendor Mounts
When you get achievements in game you can get achievement certificates which can then be used to buy certain items in the achievement vendor. The vendor also sells mounts and you can get 3 items for mounts here like the Behemoth Warhorn, Magitek Death Claw Identification Key and the Voidal Resonator all of which will give you mounts!
Event Mounts
This in an MMO so of course there’s going to be events. From seasonal events that happen yearly to crossover events that Final Fantasy loves to do but are quite rare, they often give players a lot of activities to do aside from the normal stuff the MMO provides. In these events you can also get rewards like mounts so keep an eye out for them.
Gold Saucer Mounts
Of course we can’t forget about everyone’s favorite vice, the Gold Saucer. For those who don’t know it’s basically an arcade that masks itself as a casino. You play games there and get Manderville Gold Saucer points or MGP for short. These MGP can then be used to buy items including mounts. There’s a handful of mounts you can get in the Gold Saucer like the Adamantoise or Sabotender Emperador so go there and enjoy the games!
Beast Tribe Mounts
Beast tribes can also give you mounts. When you get their reputation to trusted they can sell you a mount from each tribe. Of course each tribe has a different mount to offer so it’s great to try and get all of them!
