Anime Champions Simulator has brought about additional changes to the game with the new Update 8.2. The star of the show is the Orb Luck changes, which have made it easier for players to get the Cosmic items when they open Orbs at the shop. However, these changes can be a bit confusing to understand, as the devs have not outlined it in detail on the Update Log.

In this guide, we will explain to you the Bad Luck Prevention and Orb Luck Enhancer changes in detail. Doing so will allow you to take advantage of the benefits that they provide when you are trying to get Cosmics.

Bad Luck Prevention & Orb Luck Enhancer Update 8.2 Changes Explained

The new changes from Update 8.2 have been implemented in an effort to increase the chances of getting Cosmics in the game. Additionally, these changes will also ensure that you do not hit any Bad Luck Streaks that can end up feeling really disappointing.

You can get the Orb Luck Enhancer in multiple ways. Check out this How to Get Orbs Enhancer and Soft Pity Guide for more details on the obtainment method.

Orb Luck Enhancer Explained

Starting off, we have the Orb Enhancer that you can use to upgrade Orbs that you are opening. Doing so will increase your luck by 20%, increasing the chances of you getting the Cosmic Summons, Godly Cosmics and Cosmic Quirks that you are targeting.

However, keep in mind that doing so will cost you x2 more. The trade off is worth it in our opinion, because typically you would have opened a lot more Orbs in the process of trying to get Cosmics.

To use the Orb Enhancer, simply go to an Orb Seller and select the Upgrade option that appears on the bottom.

After that, you’ll get a prompt asking you if you want to Upgrade it and outlines exactly what the Orbs Enhancer is doing.

Unfortunately, Orb Enhancers do not lead to a Global Upgrade. This means the Upgrade will apply only to the specific map you are in. So you will need to think carefully about which Cosmic units you want and then apply the upgrade in that specific map where they are available.

Keep in mind there is a 5 Upgrade Cap as well, meaning you can upgrade Orbs only 5 times. If you are a starter in the early game, we recommend using the Orb Enhancer for the middle maps. If you are an end game player, then use them for the later maps.

The furthest map you are at, the lower the chances you have for getting Cosmics on that map. So, the best use is to use them to get the more Rare Cosmics as they will provide you with more value.

In essence, you are using the Orb Enhancer to bring the chances of the more difficult maps up to the chances of the previous map.

Bad Luck Prevention (Soft Pity) Explained

Bad Luck Prevention is a mechanic that specifically targets Bad Luck Streaks. Because the chance of getting Cosmics is so low in the game, it would often result in players not getting a Cosmic after hundreds of tries.

Soft Pity ensures that this is minimized. For the first 100 times, this mechanic does not come into effect. After that, your chances of getting a Cosmic are increased every single time you open an Orb.

In this way, you are guaranteed a Cosmic in at least the first 4000 Rolls, although you will likely get one in a lower amount. A great mechanic that is Global, meaning you will not have to worry about it for separate maps. It will also take effect automatically in the game itself for now.

That’s everything you need to know about understanding Bad Luck Prevention and Orb Luck Enhancer. We highly recommend that you work towards getting yourself Orb Luck Enhancers to greatly increase the chances of getting a Cosmic. They can be a pain to get in the latter maps, and with the Soft Pity as a safeguard, you’ll be able to get a Cosmic eventually!
