Ark Survival Ascended puts you on a mysterious island where you’ll need to survive. Here, you will gather different resources, craft various items, and fight your way to the top of the food chain. As you progress, you can form your own tribe and tame many of the primeval creatures in the game.
Apart from the dinosaurs and other huge creatures, do you know that you can also tame the Queen Bee? It may sound fun but it can be quite a challenging experience, especially for newer players. In this guide, we will show you how to tame the Giant Queen Bee in Ark Survival Ascended.
How To Tame Giant Queen Bee
First, you’ll need to find the Bee Hives in the Red Woods area. Sometimes, the Bee Hives can be really high up in the trees or sometimes they can be down low. Once you have found one, you’ll need to destroy the nest (usually it has 5000 HP)
However, bees are going to spawn, so you’ll want to use your sword to defend yourselves against the bees. You can also use 2 C4 Charges and explode the Beehive, then the Queen Bee will fall out. These explosives are an effective way for you to destroy the hive.
You can then use your Grappling Hook to get to the nest. Then, place down 2 C4 Charges and jump down. After that, activate the charges and let them explode. Make sure you run far away to not receive damage from the explosion.
The Queen Bee and her bees will start to leave the nest. They will not target you since you did not do any damage to them. Wait for them to get low enough, then run at her and tame the Giant Queen Bee.
Keep spamming the Tame Button (E for PC) as you run at her. After that, you will tame the Queen Bee and the other bees will stop targeting you. Queen Bees will eat anything, and they can be really useful. You can then interact with the Queen Bee and Obtain the Bee Hive.
To make it easier for you, you should have the Ghillie armor sets. Next, take bug repellants since they can help you avoid being targeted by the bees. Apart from using C4, you can also use a T-Rex to break the Bee Hives.
If you are playing with a friend, one person can use the T-Rex to attack the hive and the other person is going to focus on taming the Queen Bee.
That’s how you can Tame the Giant Queen Bee in Ark Survival Ascended! Keep in mind that you would never want to attack the Hive with a sword since it will spawn even more bees to attack you. If you ever decide to do that, make sure to have a T-Rex, or just use the C4 which is the safest option.
