Destiny 2: NEW Stasis Build Guide | January 2023

What’s wrong? Looking a little chilly over there.

With the upcoming New Year in reach, it’s time to update that old, outdated Stasis build you have on your Guardian and get a new one. In this guide, we will be showing you a brand new Stasis build that is guaranteed to chill your enemies to the bone at all times. If you are interested in a little build upgrade, then follow this guide and we will show you how to get a new and improved Stasis build ready for the New Year.

The new updated Stasis build will focus more on Mobility, Recovery, Discipline, and a whole lot of grenades. That’s right, the purpose of this build is to make sure that your Guardian is moving all the time, but still being able to fight back. Even if you do get hit, your Recovery stat will make sure that your health will go back up just as quick as you lose it. Here are the stats you need to focus on and what they need to be:

  • Mobility – 100
  • Recovery – 100
  • Discipline – 100
  • Strength and Resilience – spec the rest into these two, but focus on Strength more than Resilience, as your high Recovery stat completely throws away the need for a Resilience stat (it’s still nice to have a little bit on it though)

Now that we have our Stats, let’s focus on what our Abilities, Aspects, and Fragments should be. These are simple, but they are needed if you want to be able to make the best of your build:

Abilities

  • Gambler’s Dodge
  • Strafe Jump
  • Withering Blade
  • Duskfield Grenade

Aspects

  • Shatterdive
  • Touch of Winter

Fragments

  • Whisper of Shards
  • Whisper of Durance
  • Whisper of Chains

Now obviously we can’t forget about the Mods, as they are quintessential in most builds. It’s recommended that you follow the mods in this guide, but you can tweak around a little bit to suit your preference:

Cloak

  • Distribution
  • Bomber

Boots

  • 2 Mobile Retrofits

Chest

  • Unflinching Sidearm Aim
  • Powerful Friends

Gauntlets

  • Sidearm Dexterity
  • Quick Charge

Helmet

  • Dynamo
  • Sidearm Targeting

For weapons, it’s more of a personal choice on what you want to use, but if you notice the abundance of Sidearm mods, then it’s pretty clear that this build is heavy on the Sidearms. But you can still use other weapons, don’t worry.

Huge thanks to Vaash for the incredibly build. If you want to learn more, you can check out his YouTube video that talks about the build in depth, as well as giving you a visual showcase of the build as well: My NEW Stasis Build Guide – This Build DESTROYS Citan’s Ramparts
