With the complex crafting system of Nightingale, there is a fairly steep progression curve that takes advantage of its procedurally generated realms system. As you progress further into the game, you will gain access to more advanced weaponry, and in this guide, we’ll show you how to get the Lancaster Pistol.
How to Get Lancaster Pistol
By this point of the game, you will have already progressed way past the Abeyance realm and are already somewhat becoming familiar with the Realm Portals system.
As you start progressing into Tier 1 gear and essence, you’ll also be working towards getting your first Synchronous Lotus and constructing your first Realm Portal.
If you continue following the quest objectives, you will eventually have to open up a portal into a Provisioner realm. If you want the Lancaster Pistol, you must open a Provisioner Forest portal.
There, you must find an NPC named Bass Reeves, and you will need to progress through his quests. This process will require you to have a Slingbow, so check out the guide I’ve attached and craft one if you don’t have it yet.
After that, you will need to seek out the Essence Trader in this realm to buy the recipes for the Lancaster Pistol and the Refined Workbenches. All of these will cost a significant number of Tier 1 essence.
You will also need the Simple Saddle Rack from traders within the Astrolabe forest realm. Check out our guide on how to unlock the Astrolabe site of power if you haven’t gotten there yet!
Crafting The Pistol
First, you need to create a refined workbench, which will likely require other refined crafting stations. There, you will see the requirements for the Lancaster Pistol, which are the following components:
- 1x Barrel – Made at the Brazier
- 1x Wrap – Made at the Refined Tanning Station
- 1x Stock – Made at the Refined Saw Bench
- 1x Action – Made at the Brazier
The ammo for this gun is known as “.451 Revolver Cartridges”, and these can be made at the refined workbench as well. A stack of 32 bullets will require 2 Ingots and 2 gunpowder.
And that is everything you need to know when it comes to making your very first pistol and the ammo for it in Nightingale! Up next, why not check out our complete Gun guide in Nightingale for more information?
