Lost Ark’s players have been dying for this upcoming patch which will bring the first Legion Raid, Valtan.
The developer of Lost Ark has confirmed that the first Legion Raid will be a tough team-based activities that need teamwork synergy and strategy to progress through the raid.
The raid is going to be an eight-player Legion raid and will introduce some new mechanics. Also, there will be gates (checkpoints) that save player’s progress as they advance.

Here’s all you need to know to efficiently prepare for Valtan release!
Efficient Preparation for Valtan Release in Lost Ark
First, you will need to be level 50 and above with the 1415 required gear score for normal mode and 1445 for hard mode. Difference between the two is not that significant.
The hard mode raid enemies will have more HP, attack damage, and slight difference in attacks and mechanics. The same apparently goes for the rewards.

Engravings for Efficient Raid
Having the proper engravings is absolutely imperative if you want to make it through the raid.
For efficient Valtan raid, you will need at least 3 level 3 Engravings for both normal mode and hard mode.
Anything higher than that, will absolutely add advantage and smoothness to your raids.
Optimal Gem Setups
For normal mode you need at least 11 level 5 Gems with perfect stats for the class. While for the hard mode, you will need at least 11 level 6 and 7 Gems.
Gems never lose values, so investing your gold into level 7 Gems is a must for more efficient damage.
Card Set
For efficient Card Set preparation, you will need the basic set of either Lostwind Cliff or Light of Salvation.
These Card sets will give you significant Dark Damage Reduction which is necessary for Valtan Raid.
Additionally, the 7% crit chance of Lostwind Cliff Set (12-piece awakening) is a must have for DPS class.
Battle Items
Battle items that are essential for this raid is:
- Elemental HP Potion,
- Destruction Bombs,
- Time Stop Potions,
- Panacea and
- Sacred Charms
You can also swap Panacea and Sacred Charms with Purify Rune which gives you 70% chance to remove the debuffs.
Tripod Levels
Have at least level 3 Tripods on most of your important skills. And if it’s possible, adding as many level 4 Tripods as you can to make you even more prepared for Valtan Raid.
