Monster Hunter Sunbreak will be coming along with tons of changes to maps, new monsters, and changes in the meta from the weapons that we love. In this guide, we will talk about the hammer and its usage in the future. Let’s get started.
Hammer Guide – Monster Hunter Sunbreak
The Hammer, if you’re familiar already from the Monster Hunter world, is one of the biggest and most favored weapons that lots of people love to use. It is big and sturdy, and it can pack a punch while making you look like a real badass at the same time.
You can press ZL + A to perform Impact Burst. You’ll spin your hammer up top and apply and damage your enemy with 6 hits in a second. You gain a buff from it that functions like a multihit and increases deflinching power. It is really like hammer upkeep because it boosts your damage output by a lot.
This does not charge with skill level (the animation) so use it wisely and whenever you’re sure that you’re not gonna be punished for doing it.
The Input is ZL + X + A, or the skil swap, while doing + X or + A + B +ZR like a follow up.
The reason why you should be doing skill swapping is to toggle between your switch skill and abuse the evade for invincibility. You can perform a Water Strike to keep you safe, but if you aren’t able to do so, in Sunbreak you will be able to loop between these attacks and keep yourself safe this way.
How to Use the Hammer in Monster Hunter Sunbreak
Input ZL + X + A + B, while doing +X +A +ZL+X/A +ZR to get a skill swap and a much faster charge rate. You will start charging maybe a second faster which means you’ll get to a level 3 quicked. Now you’ll be able to position yourself next to a monster’s head, and hit it with a level 3 charge way easier.
You can do input X + X + X + ZR, while doing +A release +release +X for a almost shortcut to the finisher.
The hammer, as it seems, will be grown and might become the new meta that a lot of the hammer users have been waiting for for a while. It is way more open for combinations now and it will see some experimenting to get it perfected.
