After playing Pokémon Legends Arceus for a couple of hours, you’ll notice that the game is full of puzzles that you need to solve on your own. Among many, we have a special request called “The Sea’s Legend” located in the third region, with not much information to work with. One of the things that make this request hard is that the clue is located in an entirely different game.
In order to complete The Sea’s Legend, you need to collect three specific Pokemon that can help you get your hands on a unique Mytical Pokemon – Manaphy and Phione. What makes Manaphy unique is its breeding ability, making it the only Mythical in the series that could breed in previous games.
How to get Manaphy & Phione | The Sea’s Legend Request
Before starting the quest, you need to unlock the Cobalt Coastlands region, as well as the Coastlands Camp. The quest begins with a brief state that they “saw something strange in the ocean”, but searching around the coastline won’t do you any good.
The Sea’s Legend Quest Requirements
Before you start the quest, you need to obtain three specific Pokemon in your team.
- Mantyke – A common water Pokemon located in the Cobalt Coastlands
- Buizel – Another common beach Pokemon located in Obsidian Fieldlands or Cobalt Coastlands
- Overquil – The situation is a bit more difficult with getting Overquil, since you need to catch a Qwilfish from the waters in Cobalt Coastlands. After that, you need to master Barb Barrage just so you can unlock Strong Style. Once you have Strong Style Barb Barrage you can use it 20 times to evolve Qwilfish into Overquil.
Part 1
After obtaining all the required Pokemon in your team, you should find something to do in the Cobalt Coastlands until Evening. You can also set the time to evening and take some rest.
Part 2
Once it is evening, you must ride Basculegion to the large pointy rocks that look like horns at the end of Sand’s Reach. After you find the two horns sticking out of the sea, you must ride between them, and a message that you’ve heard something will appear on your screen.
Part 3
This will unlock the Seaside Hollow cave that is somewhere in the center of the Cobalt Coaslands map, you can find it on your map.
Part 4
Head over to the Seaside Hollow where you’ll find three level 35 Phione, and one level 50 Manaphy. All that is left is to catch all the Phione you can, as well as the Manaphy to complete this request.
Since we are talking about a rare Pokemon that cannot be found anywhere else, make sure you successfully complete this quest.
