Risk of Rain Returns: Untouchable Challenge Complete Guide

Risk of Rain Returns features a lot of additional challenges except the base game, where players have to fulfill certain criteria to get new abilities, items or other unlocks.

One such challenge is the Untouchable challenge, where the player has to activate the 3rd teleporter without being hurt at all as the Commando character. We’ll go over how to beat this challenge in the easiest and most efficient way possible below.

How To Beat The Untouchable Challenge

The fact that you have to only activate the 3rd teleporter and not complete it is good – you basically just have to do two full stages

Although not taking damage for two stages sounds hard at first, you have to remember that there are a lot of things you can do to make it easier

For one, you could use the Artifact of Command and make it so that items are no longer random. That’s actually something we highly recommend doing, as the next part of our guide will be about which items to choose.

If you haven’t unlocked the Artifact of Command yet, check out our guide on how to do that.

Another thing we recommend doing right off the bat is selecting Drizzle. In general, since Drizzle is the easiest difficulty, it’s a lot better for doing unlocks since you don’t have to worry too much about getting killed.

If you have Artifact of Command on, we recommend the following items:

  • Crowbar: Useful for increasing damage.
  • Mocha: Useful for the attack and movement speed increase.
  • Prophet’s Cape: Really good item for blocking incoming attacks.
  • Hopoo Feather: Good mobility item.
  • Unstable Watch: Freeze time when there’s a lot of enemies around you.
  • Hardlight Afterburner: More rolls to dodge more often.
  • Ceremonial Dagger: Good crowd control with large swarms.

Another useful thing you can do is modify the Rules of the game. Specifically, in Intensity, set your Damage Dealt to 200% and Damage Taken to 999%.

This way, you’ll deal more damage to enemies and will be more likely to kill them, and if they hurt you, you’ll die instantly so you won’t have to restart manually.

If you want to use more Artifacts, Artifact of Glass and Artifact of Kin can be good. Artifact of Glass will basically do the same thing as modifying the Intensity.

Artifact of Kin will only spawn one type of enemy per stage, meaning you could get lucky and get enemies that are very easy to one shot

Once all your settings are in place and you’re ready to start, just rush to the teleporter every stage and try not to make unnecessary stops for items or to fight enemies.

Dodge frequently with your roll, shoot enemies from a distance, use the items we recommended, and you should get the achievement. Good luck!
