The plot follows nine camp counselors as they strive to survive the last day of camp while being hunted by savage animals and townspeople. Because to The Quarry’s two multiplayer games, you won’t have to confront these horrors alone. How will it work though?

How Does Multiplayer & Co-Op Work? – The Quarry

The Quarry is a story-driven game which means that the big action sequences which require for you to be active aren’t gonna be shooting or dodging fast-moving enemies. It is going to be a matter of decisions and choices which are life or death situations.

When you play this type of game with Co-Op or Multiplayer mode, the same is implied.

The people that join your session, or group up together, will all choose between different decisions that the 9 playable characters can make.

Developer’s answer on the official The Quarry website

If you do play Co-Op, you can pass the controller or plug in an extra one and make the decisions firsthand on your characters. You will be able to choose what player which character will they get and keep on playing this way.

You are able to play with:

  • Local Co-Op: 8 players
  • Online Co-Op: 8 players

Put your trust in up to 7 friends in online play, where invited players may observe and vote on important decisions, resulting in a tale formed by the entire group! Or, in a party horror couch co-op experience, each player selects a counselor and directs their activities.
