Building a base is an important mechanic in V Rising, which helps to protect not only your precious resources but also help to reduce traveling times, assuming that your base is close to important locations. With this in mind, this guide will focus on the ten best locations to establish your base.
10 Best Base Locations
For simplicity, we will be dividing the bases according to the areas that they are found in, which are the Farbane Woods, Dunley Farmlands, Silverlight Hills, and Gloomrot.
Farbane Woods
The first base location is found in the Northwest of the Farbane Woods and is close to a Shady Merchants Camp. Additionally, it is near both the Bandit Copper Mine and the Sulphur Quarry. Both of these locations provide resources that are crucial for earlygame players. A bonus is the lake surrounding the base that leads to a waterfall.
The next two base locations are conveniently right next to each other in the middle of Farbane Woods. They are right next to the Bandit Copper Mine and the Forgotten Cemetery, which is a good source of bones and grave dust. Additionally, the bases are close to two cave passages that connect to Gloomrot and Dunley Farmlands, allowing for quicker travel.
Dunley Farmlands
The first base location to look out for in the Dunley Farmlands is the one right in the middle. This is just a few meters away from the Dunley Farmers Market. It is also close to multiple cotton farms, good locations for looking for high-quality blood workers. Lastly, it is also close to the Haunted Iron Mine.
Next up in Dunley Farmlands is a base location towards the West. This is close to the Dunley Monastery and the newly added Iron Cave. Additionally, the Quartz Quarry and the Haunted Iron Mine are also close by. Lastly, there is a cave passage to the Farbane Woods nearby.
Gloomrot
The first base location to consider can be found towards the bottom of Gloomrot. What makes this location special is its proximity to the Silverlight Hills, which helps to speed up endgame progression. Additionally, you will have quick access to all the Gloomrot Bosses and the best farming spots for Mutant Grease and Tech Scrap. Next up in Gloomrot is a base towards the East. This base is close to the Cursed Forest, allowing easier gathering of Silkworms and Spectral Dust. Additionally, the base is close to the Tracendum Mine and Trancendum Machine Factory, which allows for easier gathering of resources. Lastly, there is a cave passage nearby that leads to Farbane Woods.
Silverlight Hills
The base near the Sacred Silver Mine is undoubtedly the best in Silverlight Hills. This is because Silver and Gold are required for endgame progression, and these resources are abundant in this region. The entire Brighthaven district is nearby, where players can trade for rare items using Goldsun coins.
There are two base locations in the South of Silverlight Hills. These locations are close to the Brighthaven Vineyards, where Sacred Grapes can be farmed for use in Blood Merlots. However, this is a very contested PvP zone due to the demand of Sacred Grapes so keep that in mind when claiming a base here. Moreover, obtaining Silver will also be difficult since it is on the mine on the opposite end of the region.
