The introduction of legendary weapons in the Gloomrot update of V Rising has led to many players hunting for these powerful weapons. With this in mind, this guide will focus on a method allowing players to obtain any legendary weapon of their choice.
How to Get Any Kind of Legendary Weapon
Trade Onyx Tears
The first step is to ensure that you have Onyx Tears available. This is because not only are Onyx Tears used in repairing shattered legendary weapons, but they are also required for getting shattered legendaries from the Treasure Hunter Trade Post in Gloomrot. For a detailed guide of how to craft Onyx Tears check out the Endgame Guide.
Once you have a few Onyx Tears, take them to the Treasure Hunter Trade Post in Gloomrot. An important point to note is Onyx Tears cannot be teleported, so you will have to get to the trading post manually.
At the Trading Post, talk to the Treasure Hunter, and he will accept one Onyx Tear for a random shattered legendary weapon type of your choice. Although you can choose the type of weapon while trading, the weapons are randomly selected at the time of purchase. This may require you to purchase the same weapon multiple times to get the desired roll.
Once satisfied with your purchases, head back to your base and use the Ancestral Forge to restore the legendary weapons. It is important to note that restoring the legendary weapons also requires Onyx Tears, so make sure that you save some aside for this purpose.
If you are not willing to spend Onyx Tears for trading, an alternative method is to take on Voltatia, the Power Master at the Trancendum Power Plant. This is because she has a very high chance of dropping a legendary shattered weapon and is fairly easy to beat.
Shard Bearers
Another popular method of farming legendary weapons is to take on the Shard Bearers. These are Each shard bearer drops three shattered legendaries upon defeat. However, this may prove to be difficult since these are considered the toughest bosses in the entire game. Here are the bosses and their locations:
- Gorecrusher the Behemoth – Cursed Forest, Lair of the Behemoth
- The Winged Horror – Farbane Woods, The Dreaded Peak
- Adam the Firstborn – Doctor Henry Blackbrew’s Castle, North of Gloomrot
Having legendary weapons helps to speed up progress since they have powerful buffs, but obtaining them requires a lot of grinding. If you have any questions or suggestions, let us know in the comments below.
