Gray Zone Warfare has all kinds of tasks for you to complete, with some of them being way easier than others. Luckily for you, the Shortcut task given by Handshake falls into the “way too easy” category, although without directions, his vague objective may be a little confusing. In this guide, we will be showing you how to complete the Shortcut task as fast as possible.
Shortcut Quest Guide | Mithras
Before we begin, it should be noted that this guide is done with Mithras players in mind, though the steps for this specific quest should be the exact same for the two other factions. Only your base’s distance to the objective will be different.
There are actually two ways to go about doing this quest, but for the sake of simplicity, we are only going to cover the quick and easy route.
Basically, you need to find a certain “shortcut” within the bunker at YBL-1, which is just south of Fort Narith. Mithras players will have a much easier time getting here due to their HQ being nearby.
At the highlighted part of the map image below (coordinates 142x, 122y), you will find a dirt path that leads into an open hatch. This is a quicker way into the bunker, and entering it will put you within seconds away from the objective.
Once you jump in, follow the main corridor through the left. You will eventually stumble into a ruined staircase marked with graffiti that says “You will never leave this place”. Simply jump down and exit through the doorway below.
From there, just head over to the right and touch the dead end full of rubble where the “Fort Raskmei” sign is pointing. That’s pretty much it, the task objective should update to let you know that it’s been completed.
Unfortunately for Handshake, the supposed shortcut is a dud, unless it gets blown up later on in the game’s lifetime. Do take note that you will have to fight your way out, because you can’t climb back up the hatch.
