Black Clover M is a mobile game based on the popular manga and anime series of the same name, and it features a lot of PVP and PVE content to participate in.
One of the challenges you can partake in are the squad boss battles, which are dungeons with varying difficulties wherein you have to defeat a powerful boss. Here is a quick guide on how you can beat the Red and Blue ones under the Nightmare difficulty!
How to Beat Red & Blue Nightmare Difficulty Guild Boss
Each of these bosses have their own set of passives and attacks to watch out for. Because of this, you will need very specialized teams in order to beat them on the highest difficulty possible.
There are many alternatives that you can try, but for the purposes of this article, we’ll be going through specific combinations that you can use to easily breeze through the boss battles.
Red Boss Battle
For the Red Boss, you have to keep in mind that it is immune to status ailments and will passively prevent you from buffing your team.
In addition to that, it also has a relatively high chance of giving itself bonus mobility whenever it takes damage. This means that attacking it will potentially give it an early turn and potentially ruin your plays.
As much as possible, you will want a team that is mainly blue (with the exception of Nebra). For this boss in particular, the ideal setup is a team that has the following:
- Mars – Basically, just make him as tanky as possible.
- Lotus – Build him with a lot of speed.
- Julius – Preferably with his signature skill page Pride of the Wizard King.
- Nebra – This character requires their signature skill page Royal’s Confidence. With it, you can inflict Buff Immunity on the boss, which is essential in this fight.
The main idea with this fight is to simply spam debuffs in order to weaken the boss as much as possible in order to trivialize the encounter.
If you have Julius’ skill page, immediately open up with Skill 2 to give yourself more time to debuff the boss. Nebra should also inflicther buff block immediately to prevent the boss from speeding up.
Just keep repeatedly debuffing and abusing Julius’ Skill 2 and the boss should eventually go down with relative ease. Normally, the fight should be over before anyone dies, or, at worst, only Nebra goes down.
Blue Boss Battle
This boss is significantly easier as there is not much strategizing needed in comparison to the previous one, and you can be a little more flexible with your lineup.
For the blue boss, you’re going to want a bunch of Supporter characters that can give a wide range of unique buffs to your team. In addition to that, your attacker should be green to maximize the type weakness.
The ideal team for this will be something like this:
- Rhya– He is an incredibly strong DPS character for this fight in particular due to how he gets stronger with each buff applied to him.
- Gauche – His main function in the team is to buff Rhya with even more effects that Sally can’t give.
- Rades – Give him a lot of magic ATK as this will significantly boost his defensive capabilities.
- Sally – Despite being weak against the boss, she has some essential buffs that will trivialize this fight. Preferably equipped with her signature skill page and some defensive gear.
The main thing you should be doing in this fight is buffing Rhya as much as possible right off the bat. Immediately open up with his Skill 2 as well once he gets his first turn.
Once you can use Rhya’s Special Skill, slap the boss with it and you should be able to chunk the majority of its health with a single hit due to all of the buffs affecting him.
If the boss survives this turn, simply use Rades’ barrier to protect your entire team and continue hitting the boss until it goes down. It shouldn’t have a lot of health remaining after Rhya’s hit.
As for any potential alterations to the lineup, you can replace the supporters with most other characters of the same role, as long as they provide different kinds of buffs.
You could also substitute Gauche and Sally for William and Charmy, though you will be exchanging burst potential for survivability with this setup.
And that is pretty much all you need to know in order to beat the Blue and Red squad battle bosses on Nightmare difficulty. They may be pretty tough, but with the right characters, you can easily take them down!
