One of the first pairs of tasks you will get in Gray Zone Warfare are Last Farewell and Left Behind. These two will be your introduction to tasks that have clashing interests between different characters, and each will have unique rewards that you must choose between. Here is how you can finish either of them!

Last Farewell & Left Behind Quest Guide | Mithras

Before we begin, it should be noted that this is specifically for the Mithras faction, though the steps will be exactly the same for others, albeit with a slightly shifted town name and map orientation.

The objective will be the same for both of these tasks, with the minor added detail of needing a tracker for Last Farewell. Basically, you must find a missing person’s body somewhere near the town of Nam Thaven.

Check the map below to see where you have to go in order to find the body. Watch out for hostile AI enemies in that area, as there will likely be a few roaming around.

Once you’re there, you should be able to spot the dead person on the ground out in the open. Approach it and confirm its identity to finish the Left Behind task. If you want to finish Last Farewell, you must put the provided tracker in the body.

Gunny will reward you with an M4A1 if you place a tracker in the body. On the other hand, if you don’t place a tracker in it, Handshake will give you two armor pieces.

Aside from that, both of them will offer the same amount of cash and experience. Just pick whichever of the other tangible rewards you value more, as well as the reputation gain from either.

And that is everything you need to know in order to complete either Last Farewell or Left Behind. This is just one of the many quests in the game, and if you want to learn more, check out our guide on all of the tasks for Mithras players in Gray Zone Warfare.
